The greater the understanding for the sustainability in the team, the more stable the company – and also the employees – can develop.

Our Sustainability and Resilience approach

How sustainable a company acts depends to a large extent on the decision-making behavior of all employees. The greater the understanding of the topic, the more stable the company – and the employees – can develop. From that stable position it is necessary to be resilient to protect Brain Station’s employees and material assets.

That company setting also means that the topic of business resilience makes a decisive contribution. Unlike many large and medium-sized companies (see Google, IBM, SAP, Accenture, Cognizant, Tata), these topics are integrative at Brain Station. This is possible based on the experience that the Brain Station management has gained in large companies. Sustainability and business resilience intertwine and allow for a more stable business setup. It means lower risk to fail on company processes and external impacts and attacks.

Our Sustainability strategy correlates with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact. All ten principles are of equal importance to our company.

Human Rights and Labour Standards

Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and …

Principle 2: … make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;

Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;

Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and …

Principle 6: … the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

What we do!

Cyber Security: The protection of customer data and our own data is a top priority.

The data protection requirements in the countries in which we operate indirectly generate IT and information security requirements. We meet these requirements with our technical and organizational measures. This is demonstrably underlined by our certifications (ISO 9001 and ISO 27001). The alliance with the partners of the Alliance for Cyber Security, organized by the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI) in Germany, ensures that ultimately a higher level of responsiveness and resilience can be achieved.

Diversity: Our customers and employees benefit from Diversity at Brain Station.

Diverse and flexible personnel enables us to generate better ideas. This ultimately leads to better customer solutions. To achieve this, we start early. We not only act within the framework of our social responsibility, but also take this into account as early as the personnel selection and development stage. Our commitment was recognized by the Charta der Vielfalt. Brain Station was one of the first signees. The German Chancellor chairs this activity.

The Young Ones: Our future employees can also come from social classes where no family member has ever been able to read and write.

With our responsibility and our contributions for the improvement of society and the environment, we support AlterYouth in Bangladesh. There we give unconditional support for girls, boys and also for other gender forms who want to learn reading and writing. However, they cannot expect support from their families.
